Introducing the Mini Wings Collection

We are so pleased to introduce our new Mini Wings Collection - six beautiful wing styles, scaled down to a diminutive size that will have you swooning over the cuteness.

These irresistible wee wings are perfect for dressing up dolls or lovies (my daughter treasures her wings and wears them often, so of course she was excited that her favourite dolly can now have wings too).  They also make a lovely, whimsical photo prop for newborn photo sessions.

The Mini Wings Collection features all six of our original wing styles, in a darling diminutive size.  The Nature Collection includes Dragonfly, Gum Emperor, and Luna Moth wings, while the Magical Collection includes Angel, Dragon, and Woodland Sprite Wings.

Like their larger counterparts, the Mini Wings are soft structured and sturdy enough to hold up to play without the use of sharp wires or boning.  Elegant shaping and contrast appliqué invite creative fabric combinations - every pair of mini wings are a unique little work of art.

Their small size means they can be made from upcycled garments or small remnants of fabric.  Tine treasured scraps are perfect for the appliqué details.

Newborn photo prop wings may be simply placed on baby's back, or may be gently tied on with a soft chest strap for the duration of the photo session.  Note that baby must be supervised at all times around wings to ensure safety.

The Mini Wings pdf pattern includes a detailed tutorial with photos and videos for each step of the process.  While not a quick sew, this is a wonderful project to approach with a "slow sewing" mindset - take the time to enjoy the process, sewing with intention and love.

There are no particularly difficult sewing skills involved, so advanced beginners who have some projects under their belts and feel comfortable sewing around curves should find the wings entirely manageable.

We hope that you enjoy the process of creating Mini Wings - as dress-up accessories for a treasured doll or toy, as a newborn photo prop, or simply as beautiful decorations to display around the home.

Please feel free to pop into the Twig + Tale Chat Facebook group to look for inspiration, ask questions, or share photos of your lovely wings.  We hope to see you there!
